Step 1: Select University
Italy is known as the most beautiful country in the world and every student wishes to study in a European country. If you don’t have any idea about studying in Italy and the public universities in Italy for international students, and if you are a new student and you cannot find any suitable University for your program so for your convenience, I am providing some links which you can easily visit to find your desired course. These sites are very user-friendly and will guide you on how to find your program and how to locate English-taught programs in Italy.
Now the question is when to apply in Italy and how to prepare your documents before going to apply in Italy. So, the first thing is you have to prepare yourself in November and December so that you can make up your mind about the universities in Italy also the top universities which are:

If you want to apply in the first place you have to make yourself ready in November, you have to make your documents ready these documents are your academic documents. For example, if you have passed intermediate then the documents you will need to apply for a bachelor’s degree in Italy are:
1: Academic Certificates of 10th and 12th.
2: English Proficiency Certificate / Medium of Instruction / IELTS (Not Mandatory).
3: Letter of Recommendation from the previous institute.
4: CV/Resume in Europass format.
6: Passport.

And the same documents are required for Master’s students i.e. those students who have done Bachelor’s and want to study in Italy will have all these documents but those who are in the last year of their Bachelor’s i.e. who are in their final semester or last year and want to apply for admission will have to make an extra document called Bona Fide/Hope Certificate.
1: Bachelor’s Degree or Transcript.
2: Academic Certificates of 10th and 12th.
3: English Proficiency Certificate / Medium of Instruction / IELTS (Not Mandatory).
4: Letter of Recommendation from the previous institute.
5: CV/Resume in Europass format.

Step 2: Pre-Enrollment
The next step which is our second step is pre-enrollment. If you want to study in Italy as an international student and if you want to apply for a d-type visa it is compulsory for you to do the pre-enrollment on Universitaly.it website. In this step, every international student from whatever country he/she belongs to must enroll on the Universitaly portal, after being admitted to an Italian university and after completing the pre-enrollment, the student can proceed with his/her visa documents.
The Universitaly portal is linked with the government of Italy and they will send a message to the university to which you have admission and they will also send a message to the embassy of your country. So that you can proceed with the visa process and then your application and your university admission are confirmed, one important thing I want to tell you is that if you have two offer letters then you must choose one of a letter, and then enroll yourself in the Universitaly portal in the pre-enrollment process. Secondly, students cannot apply in the pre-enrollment process without an offer letter from an Italian university.

Step 3: Documents Attestation
Now in the third step, many students are confused after getting admission to the university and enrolling on the Universitaly portal and they don’t have any idea what to do next after enrolling in Universitaly portal. First, you have to get your educational documents verified/attested. So the first thing you need to do is to get your 10th and 12th certificates or mark sheets attested by your relevant board.

When you get your documents attested by your relevant board, that time your board will give your documents in a small envelope which you have to take to the IBCC office and the IBCC office will attest your documents easily. If you do not get your documents attested by your relevant board then the IBCC will not attest your documents until you get your documents verified by your relevant board. The entire process is for students who want to apply for bachelors in Italy, i.e. student who has recently passed the intermediate examination.
Those students who want to apply for a master’s degree program, these students have to get their bachelor’s degree and transcript verified by their university and then attested by HEC. After doing all these attestation and verification, students will get their matric, intermediate, and bachelor’s degrees attested by MOFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and one thing to remember is that MOFA always attests to original documents only.

What is DOV and CIMEA and when prepare the DOV or CIMEA what is the document required for making DOV or CIMEA please tell me.
DOV stands for “Declaration of Value,” and it is a document that is required for obtaining an Italian student visa. The Declaration of Value is issued by the Italian embassy or consulate in your home country and attests to the value of your educational qualifications in Italy. It is an important document that is used to determine your eligibility for a student visa and to enroll in an educational program in Italy.
CIMEA is the “Italian Center for the Exchange of Academic Mobility,” and it is an organization that promotes and facilitates academic exchange and mobility between Italy and other countries. CIMEA works with universities, research institutions, and other organizations to support academic mobility and exchange programs, and it provides information and assistance to students who are interested in studying in Italy.
To obtain a DOV, you will need to provide the Italian embassy or consulate with the following documents:
A completed application form
A valid passport
A copy of your academic transcripts and diploma
A letter of acceptance from an Italian educational institution
Proof of sufficient financial resources to support yourself during your studies in Italy
Any other documents that may be required by the embassy or consulate, such as a police clearance certificate or a medical certificate.
If you are applying for a student visa through CIMEA, you may need to provide additional documents, such as proof of insurance or a language proficiency certificate. It is best to check with the embassy or consulate and with CIMEA to determine the specific requirements for your situation.
Informative one👍
How to apply for Australia
Thank you so much for making me feel worthy,But brother I am focusing only on European i.e Schengen countries, my focus is only on those countries where free or cheap education is provided.
Thanks i have a confusion cimea and dov are the two different things but now a days I’ve heard cimea is equivalent to the dov and don’t have to apply dov kindly explain
Firstly DOV and CIMEA both are the same certificates. But in the Karachi consulate, they require CIMEA from students to show their study level is equal to the Italian education level, which means how much schooling or education you get from your home country.
Despite this Islamabad embassy does not ask for CIMEA, they take DOV documents along with Visa Documents and issue DOV along with visas. DOV has its own fee but it is much cheaper than CIMEA.
This is really helpfuland appreciable.
I have a question for you.
Do we need to get the required documents legalized by the Italian Embassy in Pakistan at any stage? If so, what is the process?
Secondly, Do we have an Italian facility in Lahore as well? What do they offer, CIMEA or DOV?
Thank you.
No, you have to attest your documents from IBCC, HEC, or MOFA and despite this, you can only get DOV from the embassy if you want to get CIMEA so you can get it Online. I think you have reached the answer to your questions, if you have any questions please let me know. Thanks
