Need-Base
The second type of scholarship is a need-based scholarship, where you have to prove that you don’t have enough money to study in that country and your financial situation doesn’t allow you to get an education. A need-Based scholarship is a scholarship where you have to prove that your family in your country has a very low income and you can’t pay for your education if you are able to prove that they will give you a scholarship. So for a need-based scholarship, you don’t have to have very high grades at your school or your university you just have to prove your financial disability to pay for the education in order to apply for a regional scholarship. It’s a need-based scholarship in Italy you would need the set of the following documents first of all the certificate attesting to the composition of your family unit which means that in this certificate you have to show how many members there are in your family household, for instance, you have three members in your household four members or maybe just you and your mom or your dad in this case you would need the divorce certificate of your parents.

The second document is the documentation of your family income from the previous year for instance I was applying to a university in 2022 so I had to show my family income from 2021. So you have to show the income from the previous year of all the members of your family. The university will give you the scholarship depending on what is the income of your family for that whole year if it’s less than 14 000 euros per year then they will give you the biggest scholarship and there are several brackets for instance the first bracket is from 0 to 14 000 euro the second one is from 14 to 17 000 euro and you’re also eligible for a scholarship if your income bracket is from 17 to 23000 and it’s very easy to get a regional scholarship which is need-based scholarship in Italy just based on your income, not your merit which means that there are lots of people who can enter the university in Italy and study for free you just need to prove that you cannot pay for your education.

So basically there are two ways to study in Italy with a scholarship the first one is to get a merit-based scholarship and you don’t need to apply for a separate scholarship you apply for a university and they will automatically consider you for a scholarship. The second way is to apply for a need-based scholarship if you didn’t receive the merit-based scholarship you should apply for a need-based scholarship because it’s effortless to get it you just have to prove that your family income is lower than 14 000 or 23 000 euro per year and they will give you the scholarship which will cover your whole tuition and will also give you around six, five or 4000 euros per year as a stipend and it depends on your family income.

1: FRC (Family Registration Certificate) from NADRA.
2: Income Certificate from FBR
3: Property/No Property Certificate (From AC/Tehsildar Office in Punjab) Or (AC/Mukhtiarkar Office in Sindh). This certificate is optional, If you want to make it then you can make this certificate, otherwise, you can write this line “we don’t have any movable or immovable property” which you will make from FBR.

Assistantship
The third type of scholarship is an assistantship and when you get a need-based scholarship or a merit-based scholarship you just get it and then you don’t owe anything to a university when you get an assistantship it means that you will have to work for a university. There are two types of assistantships first one is an assistantship on campus which means administrative work and the second one is a professional assistantship where you have to help your professors to help prepare classes presentations and maybe check the homework of students when you get an assistantship you will have to work for the university and they will cover your tuition and there is another scholarship from a university, athletic scholarship if you are a great athlete may be any kind of sport actually you can get an athletic scholarship and you have to look for that information on the website of a university whether they have an athletic scholarship.

Research-Based
And the last option to get a scholarship from a university is to make scientific research at the Ph.D. level. Those are scholarships that you can get directly from a university that you’re applying to abroad and there are also ways to sponsor your education. Getting a scholarship from your own country from your government, So those are government scholarships. The first one is a national scholarship that your country provides for you to study abroad, So you have to look for those scholarships in the embassies in your country.
Another option is to get a double degree so here you just have to look up programs at your own university in your country, for instance, you study at the university of Germany or the US, and at your own university you can look for programs that will provide you with exchange programs abroad or semester abroad or maybe even getting a double degree along with your university and university abroad and there is also the third option those are exchange programs when you go abroad for a semester or one year but you have to know that here they will not give you a degree they will not give you a diploma but that will also be a great experience to make an exchange program abroad.
